In 2008, our biggest year to date, we took DEBRIEFING to the National Vietnam Veterans Art Museum in Chicago, sponsored a special performance of THE NEED TO KNOW, a one-person coming-of-age-play by Air Force Veteran April Fitzsimmons, and brought our Summer Shakespeare Festival, co-produced with the Veterans Center for the Performing Arts (VCPA) to the West Los Angeles Civic Center Band Shell for a 9 week run in July and August. In 2009 USVAA produced THE ZOO STORY (with Christopher Sweeney, Dion Jackson, directed by Max Hartman) in conjunction with DISARMED, a gallery exhibit of Christopher Sweeney’s paintings. |
